They detail the key features, benefits, limitations, and exclusions, but you still need to read the Policy Wording for a full description of the terms of the insurance, (including the policy definitions), together with the Policy Schedule, and any endorsements, applying to your policy. An Important Notice, and Important Notes are detailed on pages 3 and 7 of your Policy Wording. The levels of cover and excesses which apply to your insurance are detailed in the Summary of Cover above, which forms part of your Policy Wording, but, otherwise, pages (i) and (ii) do not form part of the Policy Wording.

Purpose of this Insurance – This is a travel policy that, subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions contained in the Policy Wording, will cover certain specific situations that you may encounter whilst travelling.
Period of Cover – As stated on your Policy Schedule.
Principal Exclusions and Limitations
Medical Health Requirements
Cover does not apply if you, your travelling companions, or any person on whom your travel plans depend have a medical condition, illness, or injury which you or they knew about before you bought this insurance, or which develops before you book any trip to which this insurance applies. It is very important that you refer to the Medical Health Requirement Clause on page 6
of the Policy Wording as you may be able to obtain cover for such medical conditions by contacting us. If you have any other queries regarding cover, you should also contact us.
War and Terrorism
War and terrorist activities, and the like, are covered under Sections 4, 5 and 10, except if
involving chemical, biological or nuclear events, but such activities are not covered under other
sections of the Policy or under any sections if the event was already taking place at the start of
any trip.
Hazardous Holiday Activities and Pursuits

You are not covered for anything caused directly or indirectly by participation in professional or
organised sport, racing, speed or endurance tests, or other dangerous activities (unless agreed
by us and the appropriate premium has been paid).

Archery, Badminton (amateur), Basketball (amateur), Beach Games, Black Water Rafting (Grade 1-4), Canoeing, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Cycling (low use), Dingy Sailing, Fishing, Soccer (amateur), Golf (amateur), Hiking (under 2000 metres altitude), Jet Boating, Jet Skiing, Jogging, Marathon Runner (amateur), Martial arts (non-contact training only), Motor Cycling under 125cc (with helmet & license), Netball (amateur), Orienteering, Paintballing, Parascending (over water), Pony Trekking, Racquetball, Rambling (under 2000 metres altitude), River canoeing, Roller Blading (line skating/skateboarding), Rounders, Rowing, Running, Sprint/Long Distance (amateur), Scuba Diving (incidental/down to 15m), Safari (Ireland/UK organised. Personal Property
Cover is provided for loss, damage, or theft of your Personal Baggage, including Personal
Money and loss of certain documents. We may, however, take off an amount for wear and tear
when settling a claim, depending on the age and the condition of the property. Cover is only
provided up to maximum amounts for individual items, valuable items, and cash within the
overall limit. The Summary of Cover provides full details of these limits.
Excesses
Certain sections of cover are subject to an excess applying to each claim. An excess means
that you are responsible for the first sum per person per incident when you claim. The amount of
any excess is detailed in the Policy Wording on the Summary of Cover page.
Duration of Cover
All trips must start and end in the United Kingdom (including the Isle of Man and Channel
Islands), and the policy must cover the whole duration of the trip, and cannot be effected once
travel has commenced.
If you change your mind
If, having examined your Policy Wording, you decide the insurance does not meet your needs,
you can cancel the insurance within 14 days from the date you receive the Policy Wording, and
we will refund the premium provided you have not taken a trip to which the insurance applies,
and you have not made a claim. If you wish to cancel your insurance you should telephone
Preferential Direct Limited on 01702 423386 or write to them at the address shown in your
policy.

YOUR RIGHT TO COMPLAIN – Whilst every effort is made to maintain the highest service standards, should there be an occasion when the service you receive falls below the standard you expect, or you are otherwise dissatisfied, then please follow the procedure below in the sequence shown:

THE FINANCI AL SERVICES COMPENSATION SCHEME (FSCS) – UK Underwriting Limited and AXA Insurance UK plc are covered by the FSCS. This provides compensation in case any of its members go out of business or into liquidation and are unable to meet any valid claims under its policies. The first £2,000 of a claim is protected in full. Above this threshold, 90% of the remainder of the claim will be met. Further information can be obtained from us or visit www.fscs.org.uk.

The law and language applicable to the policy
This policy is governed by English Law unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.
The language used in this policy and any communications relating to it will be in English.
For your protection, telephone calls may be recorded and may be monitored.
